CCPA Privacy Notice for California Residents
Your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and how The Demandverse handles personal information.
Last updated: 18 October 2026
This notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to residents of California under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020, and its regulations (together, the "CCPA"). Terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning here. We extend the same rights to residents of every other US state with a comprehensive privacy law.

The table below describes the categories of personal information we have collected in the past 12 months and continue to collect, the sources, the purposes, and how long we keep each one.
| Category (CCPA) | Examples | Source | Business purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|

We do not sell or share personal information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined in the CCPA. We have not done so in the past 12 months. We have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of consumers under 16. We do not collect or use sensitive personal information, so the right to limit its use does not apply.
Disclosures for a business purpose
In the past 12 months, we have disclosed identifiers and internet activity information to our service providers (our web hosting provider and email delivery provider) for the business purposes of hosting the website, maintaining security and delivering emails. Service providers are contractually prohibited from using the information for any other purpose.
Your rights
- Right to know: the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it.
- Right to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share, but you may submit a request and we will confirm.
- Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect it.
- Right to non-discrimination: we will not deny you service, charge you a different price or provide a different quality of service because you exercised your rights.
How to submit a request
Email Sherlyn@thedemandverse.com with the subject "CCPA request". Because we interact with readers online only, email is our designated method for submitting requests. We will verify your request by confirming that you control the email address associated with the personal information, and we will not ask you to create an account. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need more time (up to 45 more days), we will tell you why.
Authorised agents
You may designate an authorised agent to make a request for you. We will require the agent to provide your signed permission, and we may ask you to verify your identity directly or confirm that you gave the agent permission.
Opt-out preference signals
We process Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser. Because we do not sell or share, no change in how the website works is needed.
California "Shine the Light"
Under California Civil Code section 1798.83, California residents may ask whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not make such disclosures.
Request metrics
If we become subject to the CCPA's record-keeping requirements for businesses that handle personal information of 10 million or more consumers, we will publish the number of requests we received and how we responded on this page.
